Andrea Singer, managing director with JPMorgan Chase Worldwide Securities Services, will be the next guest of The HUB 2011 Spring Speaker Series on Thursday, April 21.
Singer will present “Managing Projects in a Globally Distributed Operating Environment.” The event will begin at 5 p.m. in the Katzer Collaboratory, Room 347 of Hinds Hall, and is free and open to the public.
Singer will be joined by Ben Carlucci ’09, project analyst with JPMorgan Chase Worldwide Securities Services, as they discuss the realities of managing projects across time zones, cultures and matrix reporting organizations; gathering requirements from a global-user base; the challenges of implementing an “agile” project approach in a waterfall environment; and steps along the way to a career path in project management.
As head of Client Service Transformation for JPMorgan’s Worldwide Securities Services business, Singer is responsible for a global project portfolio inclusive of a variety of process re-engineering and large technology project development and deployment. Current projects include development of a new client service workstation to support institutional client inquiries, implementing a client information model and automating client facing reporting scorecards.
Singer has more than 20 years of experience implementing technology solutions to improve service delivery to clients and to streamline operations across both retail and wholesale banking operations. She spent five years leading firm-wide merger integration activities with overall program and project management responsibilities for major conversion events. She was the lead program manager for JPMC working in collaboration with SU to develop the Global Enterprise Technology (GET) curriculum at SU.
