The Syracuse University Contemporary Music Ensemble will present a concert on Thursday, May 3, at 8 p.m. in the Rose and Jules R. Setnor Auditorium, Crouse College. The concert is free and open to the public. Free parking is available in the Irving Garage; parking for patrons with disabilities is available in the Q1 lot. Patrons should mention that they are attending the concert.
The Contemporary Music Ensemble is conducted by Daniel Hege, Stevenson Professor of Practice in the Rose, Jules R. and Stanford S. Setnor School of Music in SU’s . The program will include Daniel S. Godfrey’s “Numina,” Jennifer Higdon’s “Soliloquy,” Andrew Waggoner’s “One Kindness,” Béla Bartók’s “Vivace” from his Piano Quintet, Cody Forrest’s “Savage Light Celestial” and Aaron Copland’s “Appalachian Spring” for 13 instruments.
