Mastin Kipp, founder of , will be joining Soulful Sit-Downs, the weekly student-run discussion series about life’s big questions, via Skype this Thursday, April 11, at 7 p.m. in 201 Hall of Languages. The event will be free and open to the SU community.

Dubbed by Oprah Winfrey as an “up-and-coming thought leader of the next generation of spiritual leaders,” Kipp started his Internet empire at just 27 years old. TheDailyLove.com has since become one of the fastest growing websites and email lists on the web, inspiring nearly 600,000 people each day. Contributors to his blog have included the likes of Russell Simmons, Marianne Williamson and SU alumna Gabrielle Bernstein.

The website, daily email and twitter account that serve soulful inspiration to a new generation started as a feed of quotes sent to Kipp’s friends. The Daily Love shot to fame after a tweet from Kim Kardashian, and, suddenly, a love monster was born.

In this raw and intimate conversation, Kipp will share insights and advice with participants regarding such topics as love and spirituality. Those in attendance will also have the opportunity to ask the thought leader questions during the discussion.
