An Empty Bowls fundraiser to benefit the Interreligious Food Consortium (IFC) will be held on Friday, Sept. 26, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Nancy Cantor Warehouse, 350 W. Fayette St., Syracuse. For a $20 donation, patrons may choose from hundreds of handcrafted ceramic bowls and enjoy a meal of soup and bread from local restaurants.
Empty Bowls is organized by the ceramics program in Syracuse University’s , Clayscapes Pottery and IFC. Participating restaurants include Attilio’s, Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, Grimaldi’s Luna Park, Kitty Hoynes Irish Pub & Restaurant, Laci’s Tapas Bar, Pastabilities, Riley’s, Santangelo’s, Sparky Town and Strong Hearts Cafe.
The IFC is an umbrella agency for more than 70 food pantries and meal sites throughout Onondaga County. It assists each of these programs with donations on food, money and program support and connects people in need of food assistance with appropriate resources. Learn more at .
