William Horrace, professor of economics at the Maxwell School, and his band will board the 443 CC bus to provide ‘music in motion’
It will be a free jazz concert of keyboard, bass and guitar for Connective Corridor riders on Friday, Jan. 27. Courtesy of William Horrace, professor of economics at the Maxwell School, and his band, the Bill Horrace Band, riders will be treated to a trio performance as they ride between campus and downtown.
With support from Centro, Horrace, along with Dave Solazzo (keyboard) and Tom Bronzetti (guitar) will board the Connective Corridor 443 bus at Syracuse Stage on Friday, at 3:26 p.m., heading downtown and then returning to Syracuse Stage. That travels the Connective Corridor, through the Near Westside and stops at the Warehouse, before returning to main campus.
“It’s definitely not an everyday occurrence in Syracuse to hear live jazz on the bus!” says Robbi Farschman, director of the Connective Corridor. “We’re thankful to Professor Horrace for this performance, which uniquely ties into what the Connective Corridor is all about—exposing the community to the wonderful—and sometimes unexpected—opportunities for arts and culture in Syracuse.”
“Dave, Tom and I are grateful for the opportunity to share our performance with the community in this unique way,” says Horrace. “It’s gonna be a blast!”
blends jazz standards and contemporary tunes into a style that is dynamic and modern.
