Second annual Syracuse Air Guitar Competition to be held April 14

Central New York Air Guitarists, get ready to rock for the April 14 at the , 201 South West St., Syracuse. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and competition begins at 8 p.m. The competition is free and open to the public.

All air guitarists in the Greater Central New York area are welcome to strut their stuff—real guitars not permitted—before a panel of Central New York celebrity judges. The winner will gain local fame and admiration and a spot at the in June, plus funds to support the trip.

Competitors are encouraged to pre-register by emailing Sydney Hutchinson, assistant professor of ethnomusicology in Syracuse University’s College of Arts and Sciences.
