Shana Kushner Gadarian, associate professor of political science in the Maxwell School, was quoted in The New York Times article “.” Research has shown that there is growing widespread alarm about the future of American democracy. Gadarian, who researches political public opinion, says that President Trump has chosen ineffective strategies to quell this alarm, one of which “is telling people not to be worried about something that is in fact worrisome.”
