Theoharis discussed the issue the city of Syracuse is facing in terms of segregation in schools and the impact this is having on standardized test score gaps. He stated, “We’re going to have a hard time desegregating Syracuse within the city alone. Because of hyper segregation, we’re seeing because of concentration of race and poverty.”
