Let’s be honest. The last few months have been whirlwind. From the quarantine blues, to trying out all those new sourdough recipes, we are all searching for new things to try as our sense of normalcy is changing.

But there’s a silver lining! You’re back at ’Cuse! Everyone on campus has been working hard to provide us with activities and events that’ll spread some joy and, most importantly, keep us safe! Where can you find information on these events you ask? Well, just keep scrolling!

Finding Events

Using the you can find all University-sponsored events and programs including, but definitely not limited to, campus lectures, workshops, artist talks, and more! The calendar is searchable by keyword, interest and category. To find the most recent events, you can browse through the section “Happening Today” section. While all events can be interesting, if you’re looking for something that’s sure to be just for students, try browsing through the . Events and programs will be hosted virtually, in-person and/or in a hybrid approach.

Another great resource to find student focused events is .  You’ll be able to learn more about student organizations, explore their events and find late night activities through Orange After Dark. To look for specific events and programs, search by organization, keyword, interest or category. Another interesting feature is involvement tracking! You can record your activities and memberships on campus to show your involvement!

Orange After Dark

Speaking of Orange After Dark, they’ve just released their lineup of ! Throughout the fall semester, we can enjoy recent blockbuster films for free. All you need is your SU I.D. This semester they’re bringing Toy Story 4, Insidious, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and more.

Not feeling a movie? Orange After Dark and the Office of Student Activities is offering in-person, hybrid and virtual events to keep you entertained! Join us for fun events like:

  • Grocery Bingo
  • Escape the Room
  • OAD Day at the Challenge Course

Intramural Sports

Intramural Sports looks different this year with mostly virtual opportunities, but that doesn’t mean you can’t be a gym class hero!  There are a ton of opportunities for a variety of interests including esports, like FIFA 21 and League of Legends,  running challenges through ’Cuse Cruise and a golf league! SoulSearch

is back! This one-day mindfulness retreat is for students to connect, contemplate and experience a deeper understanding of their authentic selves. Oh, and it’s free… with food! Applications are required, so ! The deadline to apply is Wednesday, Sept. 30 by midnight.

Tennity Ice Skating Pavilion

Did you know we have an ice rink on campus? You do now! Tennity is part of the Barnes Center family, and offers a ton of unique ice sports opportunities. Obviously, there’s ice skating and the ever popular late night glow skate. But we’re willing to bet you didn’t know that you can try curling at Tennity as well!
