Faraday House
The Faraday House is where the London Center is headquartered and where you’ll be taking your classes. This is one of the few buildings in Holborn that remained standing after the London Blitz during World War II. Interestingly, its two halves used to be separate buildings that were constructed in completely different eras and recently connected. There’s a lot of interesting history in the Holborn area to explore, such as Sir John Soane’s Museum (a five-minute walk away), which is one of the most unique “house” museums you’ll ever visit.
London Markets
Go to every market you can!!!! Local market finds are a great addition to your food menu. Borough Market and Camden Market are must-sees in the city. Wander through the booths to enjoy endless samples of amazing meats and cheeses. Every food stand is beautiful enough to post and it’s a fun way to get out of the flat and get some great food! You can also get some shopping done at Camden Market, there are many booths selling jewelry and art.
Endless Opportunities
Always take advantage of everything the city has to offer! There are endless opportunities in London, so take advantage of EVERYTHING. As someone that was there in 2020, I was always glad that I did so much in the short time I was in the city. My flatmates and I went to West End shows all the time and planned trips around England and the city almost every weekend. Your classes get you out to the main landmarks of London but there are so many hidden gems around the city, just ask a professor or staff for recommendations!
Love London Week
