As Syracuse University students, it’s incredibly important to give back to the community and serve it the best we can. It can sometimes be difficult to see outside our campus bubble, but we must still be mindful of the world outside the University. If you have some time to spare, consider spending it volunteering at one of these amazing organizations to show gratitude for the city we live in!

Volunteers should and think of a craft or activity they’d like to do with the group; it can be anything from cooking to nail painting! Once a month, volunteers go to the and complete their activity with the women and children living there. It’s a great way to have fun and share something you love with others all while making a direct impact.
Now that you’ve been introduced to some local volunteer opportunities, we hope you consider volunteering when you have some free time. No matter how you choose to serve the community, the most important thing is to give back!
